Sandia can supply plastic card embossing, encoding and tipping equipment. Plastic Card Embossing is the process of creating a three-dimensional image of alphanumeric characters in plastic cards. This is achieved by using a metal die (female) and a counter die (male) that fit together and actually squeeze the substrate. This pressure raises the image higher than the substrate. The raised characters can then be colored or accented to make them readable with a hot foil application process called Tipping. De-bossing - in a De-bossed image, the image is lowered into the surface of the material. |
Sandia is the one stop shop for your plastic card needs. From custom printed cards to plastic card printers, badge design and data management software, Sandia can help you find the solution you need.
